About IRC4Fun
IRC4Fun is a privately-owned and operated Internet Relay Chat (IRC) network founded in October of 2007. There are no fees whatsoever to use our chat services. IRC4Fun staff donate their expertise, time and equipment to maintain a stable and pleasant chat environment. In exchange, we require that all guests comply with our Acceptable Use Policy (also referred to as "AUP").
General Rules
IRC4Fun is a chat-oriented network, and we reserve all rights to deny access to anyone without warning or explanation. Because we're chat-oriented, we strictly prohibit any channel, registered or not, for the intent of harassment, illegal trade of licensed software, or trade of pornographic files. We cooperate fully with all federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in the investigation of illegal activity. Harassment of others, advertising, cloning, flooding, or willful disruption of any channel is not tolerated and grounds for immediate and permanent removal from the IRC4Fun network.
Our Staff
IRC4Fun has a friendly and helpful staff of IRC Operators available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We can assist you in the registration of your nickname, channel or with questions about using IRC4Fun Services. We also intervene when there is a violation of the IRC4Fun Acceptable Use Policy. IRC4Fun leaves the channel administration/management to the discretion of the channel founder. IRC4Fun does not monitor the content of channels, nor will we become involved in channel disputes. If you are kicked or banned from a channel, we recommend you contact the channel founder.
The IRC4Fun Difference
IRC4Fun offers a unique IRC chatting experience (that isn't always offered by other networks) to it's users with a wide-range of perks! Our Services ChanServ, NickServ, & MemoServ allow users to register their nicknames and channels as well as send Memos to offline friends. Our Services are effective, reliable and also have more commands/abilities to control aspects of your channel than the services provided on other IRC networks! User Protection is a top priority of the IRC4Fun network! We offer hostmasking (usermode +x) to all users of our network; both registered users and non-registered users. IRC4Fun by default will mask a user's IP address to prevent other users from attempting DoS attacks on network users. Channel Protection is another top priority of the IRC4Fun network! In addition to Channel Registration, we also offer K9, Q, W, X or Z that can be assigned to a channel and will /JOIN the registered channel when there is at least 2 or more users in it. K9, Q, W, X and Z are able to protect channels from floods, bad words, and more! Plus: K9, Q, W, X and Z cannot be deoped, kicked, or banned - making channel takeovers virtually impossible! (Current Channel Service Bots available: K9, Q, W, X or Z) To get a Channel Service Bot assigned to your registered channel, simply register it with ChanServ and one will be automatically assigned. *Only 1 Channel Service Bot may be assigned per channel.
