IRC4Fun > Routing Committee > Server-link Guidelines
Please note that we have no interest in being 'absorbed' into some larger network, and all servers wishing to link must agree with the following:
- Must be willing to use IRC4Fun Services/Statistics/Security servers
- Should have an average user count of at least five users
- Must be running Unreal3.2 (or willing to change to UnrealIRCd)
- Each server may have a maximum of five global operators and five local operators. NOTE: The server will NOT be entitled to Network Administrator access.
- Windows-based Servers will NOT be approved;
- Must adopt the IRC4Fun Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
To apply for a link, please email the following information to Routing@IRC4Fun.net:
- 1. Why you want to link to IRC4Fun and what you could bring to the network
- 2. Your IRC nickname and IRC experience (what networks have you been an oper on, etc.)
- 3. Geographical server location
- 4. Server IP address
- 5. Current average user count
- 6. Shell/VPS/Dedicated server? In which datacenter is the server hosted?
- 7. Hub or Leaf?
- 8. User limit
- 9. Desired Server name (server-name.IRC4Fun.net)
- 10. Details about your Oper team (Refer to #2 above; complete for each oper and designate locals/globals)
Successful applicants will be granted a thirty day trial link period.
