FunJanus has retired and is replaced by PyLink

We are somewhat thrilled and saddened at the same time to announce that FunJanus has retired as of today.  We are linked via Overdrive-IRC‘s PyLink instance (which is a modern replacement for Janus with additional features and is actively developed)
The FunJanus had way too many bugs (which were only going to get worse as IRCd’s upgraded and updated themselves) and would often cause desyncs)
This does not change a lot for IRC4Fun Users.  If you wish for your channel to be PyLink’d and exist for linked networks to link to, you can inquire in #IRC4Fun.  (You maintain complete control over your channel still – other remote networks cannot take it over)
For more information, see our Linked Networks page which has more details and a list of currently known PyLink Networks and Channels.  If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to ask in #IRC4Fun
