I am a vintage computer enthusiast. I have been active in online forums for Vintage computers and antiX and MX Linus for years. Recent changes in the online world, specifically attempts to block bad actors and robots, have made it very difficult for old machines to be used on the World Wide Web. I am looking for alternatives and think maybe IRC can be a useful tool for users of old computers to get help from the community.
