Discord4Fun FAQ
Discord4Fun is IRC4Fun's official Discord server, bridged with IRC4Fun. This allows users of both platforms to seamlessly connect. Bridged Discord users have a _D appended to their nickname on IRC.
General
- Q: How can I tell if a user on IRC is also on Discord?
- A: The user's nickname will have a
_Dat the end. - Q: Can Discord users play IRC games or use IRC bots?
- A: Yes! The bridge makes Discord users appear online in linked channels, allowing full participation.
- Q: What if I do not want Discord4Fun users in my channel?
- A: Only channels where the Founder has OPT-IN will be participating.
- Q: How can I OPT-IN to get my IRC channel linked?
- A: Submit a request via the HelpDesk. You must be the channel Founder.
- Q: Can Discord users register with NickServ?
- A: Discord users cannot register via IRC directly. They can register using webchat or the WebPanel.
IRC Channel Operators
- Q: How can I ban/mute/kick a Discord user?
- A: Each Discord user's IP is unique (based on Discord user ID). Ban their hostmask, e.g.,
*!*@IRC4Fun-vq158m.cq8u.krmu.f5f5.fd75.IP

- Q: How can I ban a Discord user from the network?
- A: Ban their IPv6 hostmask. Do NOT ban IPv4 addresses — it will ban everyone on the bridge!
