YES. Having either ChanServ or a BotServ bot inside your channel is generally better.
When you have a BotServ bot (or ChanServ itself) in your channel, you can set additional options within BotServ: such as badwords, flood controls, abuse controls, etc.
While ChanServ can manage your channel without being inside it, when it is (or when a BotServ bot is assigned to your channel); you have more options for controlling your channel.
