ChanHistory playback + Bots
Bots (connections with usermode +B) will now be automatically exempted from ChanHistory playback, regardless of whether they have usermode +N set or not.
Cloaks Updates
Users who have characters in their account (nickname) that are considered “invalid” for hostnames, will have shorter cloaks, going forward.
Previously, users with invalid characters in their account name had a cloak with an x-HASH. (Test_User would be users/Test-User/x-5ecc89fc34d06f70)
Now, users with invalid characters in their account name will have a cloak without the x-. (Test_User would be users/Test-User/5ecc89fc34d06f70)
Users that have old cloaks (x-HASH) can ask for the new/updated cloak in #Help or #IRC4Fun, or by contacting support @ IRC4Fun.net
Why do users with “invalid” characters in their account name have HASHes?
This is to ensure that every user has a unique cloak or “vhost”. This prevents a user from registering the nickname of Test-User & Test_User sharing the same cloak.
