Resetting Your Password

If you lost your password, you can reset it using NickServ's RESETPASS command.

Syntax

/msg NickServ RESETPASS nickname email

Sends a passcode to the nickname with instructions on how to reset the password. Email must be the email address associated with the nickname.

If you do not have access to the email address associated with your NickServ account, you will be unable to complete the password reset.

After using the passcode

After using the passcode sent to your email, use the NickServ SET PASSWORD command to set a new password:

/msg NickServ SET PASSWORD myNewPassword

/NS RESETPASS nickname my@email.com
